Iran provides $200 million to Hezbollah
2026-10-07 22:37:15
According to CoinMeta, and as reported by foreign media, two individuals with direct knowledge of this fund transfer stated that Iran has provided $200 million to Hezbollah in Lebanon to assist the Lebanese civilians who have been displaced during this year's war with Israel. This is the first time since the conflict began that Hezbollah has provided such large-scale assistance to its most affected supporters. Sources familiar with the matter said that despite the increasing economic pressure imposed by the United States on Iran and the growing difficulties for Tehran to transfer funds to its Lebanese allies, Hezbollah still received this cash last month. They mentioned that the intermediaries responsible for the transfer charged a 20% fee, reflecting the risks involved in such transactions. One of these individuals noted that this fee was approximately four times the normal level.
