The protocol's objectives include the issuance of real assets ( RWA ), on-chain transactions, derivatives, settlement, and AI proxy finance. Injective utilizes BFT consensus, with block times of about 600 milliseconds to ensure deterministic finality. The new whitepaper outlines a broader vision: to establish a Layer-1 blockchain centered around institutional-level finance and tokenization. Each layer is designed to issue real-world assets and endow them with utility among markets, applications, and AI proxies. The native RWA tokenization is at the core of the new architecture, allowing assets to be minted, sent, received, and destroyed using role-based permissions, while also supporting programmable receive hooks and sealed namespaces. The architecture also includes stablecoin margins and derivatives priced by oracles, enabling tracking of external assets without the need for packaging or pre-financing.
