Startale Japan Announces the Issuance of Its First Batch of Secured Digital Corporate Bonds

According to CoinMeta, Startale Japan, a subsidiary of Startale Group, announced that it will start raising funds for its first guaranteed digital corporate bond from October 6th. The plan is to raise 99.9 million yen (about $630,000) with a term of 1 year and a fixed annual interest rate of 5.00% (pre-tax). The minimum subscription amount is 100,000 yen (about $632). Both the bond interest and the principal upon maturity will be paid in the Japanese yen stablecoin JPYSC through the application of Startale. Startale stated that this is the first case in Japan where digital corporate bonds are paid interest and repaid using a yen-denominated trust-type stablecoin.
