2026-10-08 12:16:55
According to CoinMeta, Aptos Labs has announced plans to launch an upgrade to its execution engine, Monomove. Internal tests have shown that in full-chain trading scenarios on Decibel, the speed of collateral withdrawals has increased by up to 55 times, the speed of placing orders has increased by up to 22 times, and the end-to-end transaction throughput has increased by up to 11 times according to internal benchmarks. Monomove is expected to complete the functional development by the end of 2026 and will be launched on the mainnet in 2027 after passing governance votes. This upgrade will also maintain the asset security constraints of Move and add redundant check mechanisms.
