According to CoinMeta, after investigating an encryption vulnerability worth over $1 billion, Zachxbt is seeking donations from the public, stating that he has already spent $349,700. He revealed that during a high-risk investigation, he pretended to be a client involved in money laundering in China to track funds related to North Korea. The investigation led to a Telegram user named “Jimmy Green”, who was suspected of assisting in the transfer of funds from a $1.5 billion Bybit hacking incident. To continue the conversation with Jimmy, Zachxbt indicated that he had to accept a 5% loss on each transaction. Over time, Jimmy seemed to start trusting him and shared wallet addresses, screenshots, and real-time bridge transactions. Zachxbt stated that he matched these fund flows on the blockchain, and ultimately, the evidence helped Tether freeze $442,000 in USDT. He is now seeking funding and donations to continue conducting similar high-risk investigations and revealed that he currently holds “important findings” regarding other cases.
