According to CoinMeta, taiko has completed version 39 of its upgrade, adding support for permit and permit2. Users no longer need to initiate a separate approve transaction when bridging tokens. At the same time, the upper limit for ether payments to gas has been increased, and bridgederc20v2 templates have been deployed on both ends of L1 and L2. These improvements cover the functionality for ETH, ERC20, ERC721, and ERC1155 assets, as well as bidirectional bridging scenarios.
