CoinMeta data: The International Monetary Fund ( IMF ) pointed out in its October Global Financial Stability Report that the tokenization market is still relatively small and is mainly dominated by retail traders. In July, the market size of tokenized real-world assets ( RWA ) was approximately $65 billion. IMF also stated that settlement based on stablecoins may pose new risks to regulators. The report emphasizes that 24/7 trading and fractional trading of tokenized products are their main characteristics, and the volatility of tokenized products is about 1.5 times that of traditional market counterparts. IMF recommends adopting technology-neutral regulation, regulatory sandboxes, secure settlement assets, and other safety measures.
