Vance Suspends Applications for Green Cards by Companies Such as Microsoft, Accusing of Visa Abuse

According to CoinMeta, Vice President Vance and officials from the Department of Labor announced that the Trump administration has suspended the participation of companies such as Microsoft and Adobe in key employment-based green card programs, accusing these large tech companies and outsourcing firms of abusing the visa system to the detriment of American workers. Vance stated that Microsoft laid off 6,000 American workers last year while obtaining 6,300 H-1B visas and nearly 3,000 green cards, calling it a "scandalous system." The Department of Labor has also suspended the applications of Adobe and several major IT outsourcing companies, including Cognizant, Infosys, Tata, Wipro, HCL, and Capgemini. Labor Secretary Keith S ö derling pointed out that since 2009, these companies have applied for nearly 3 million foreign workers and obtained over 230,000 H-1B visas and 100,000 permanent labor certifications.
