Thailand luxury home robbery: Armed robbers stole $820,000 in cryptocurrency

According to CoinMeta, three armed robbers forced a Chinese expatriate with Turkish citizenship to transfer approximately $820,000 in cryptocurrency from a luxury home in Pattaya, Thailand. The police have launched an investigation into the case. The robbers entered the residential area at 3:30 a.m., used ladders to gain access to the house, and threatened the victim. After stealing cash and luxury watches, the robbers demanded access to the victim's digital assets. Under threat, the victim transferred the digital assets, valued at about $820,000, to accounts controlled by the robbers. The police are tracking the transactions of the stolen cryptocurrency and investigating surveillance footage related to the case.
