gennius and Coinbase collaborate to provide stablecoin payment services for banks in Latin America

According to CoinMeta, the payment and tokenization platform gennius has announced a partnership with Coinbase to provide Latin American banks with services such as stablecoin payments, digital asset custody and trading, deposit services, and tokenization of reward points. The first financial institution to adopt this collaboration has already launched in Argentina. Banks do not need to replace their existing systems; Coinbase is responsible for providing the underlying digital asset infrastructure. The core products of this collaboration, oned and usd, will be issued through Coinbase's custom and stablecoins plans, deployed on base, and supported by USDC which is custodied by Coinbase at a 1:1 ratio.
