2026-10-10 12:28:44
According to CoinMeta, the SonicWall SMA 1000 series devices are affected by a third pre-authentication SSRF vulnerability, which allows unauthorized requests to turn the device into a proxy for remote attackers. As per the SonicWall PSIRT notification SNWLID-2026-0017, this mechanism is referred to as "Confused Proxy," allowing the device to access internal functions and perform unauthorized operations without any credentials required. The SMA1000 series has now seen three disclosures of the same vulnerability, with the latest notification covering four different vulnerabilities affecting the SMA1000 models 6210, 7210, and 8200v. Users need to upgrade their firmware to fix these vulnerabilities.
