According to CoinMeta, as reported by etoday, the Financial Services Commission of South Korea announced that a revision to the subordinate regulations of the "Electronic Securities Act" and "Capital Market Act" related to token securities will undergo a legislative notice period from October 2 to November 11, in preparation for the implementation of the new laws on February 4 next year. The revision will include fragmented investments in securities, stocks, bonds, and funds within the scope of tokenization. The initial targets will include privately placed money market funds for institutions, private bonds, unlisted stocks utilizing trusts, as well as publicly offered fragmented investment securities. For individual investors, the annual net purchase limit at a single over-the-counter exchange is set at 100 million Korean won, and non-financial companies directly managing investor accounts are required to have a minimum registered capital of 4 billion Korean won. In the initial phase, South Korea's existing cash settlement system operated by the KOSDAQ Clearing Corporation will be used, with the promotion of stablecoin on-chain settlement to follow after the relevant legislation is enacted.
