Financial Stability Board: Cross-border stablecoin regulatory mechanisms are not mature, AI threatens financial network security
2026-10-12 14:43:48
According to CoinMeta, the Financial Stability Board (FSB) has stated that the regulatory framework and crisis management mechanisms for cross-border stablecoins are still not mature or have not yet been established. The chairperson pointed out that only 11 out of 28 jurisdictions have completed the construction of stablecoin regulatory frameworks. There are warnings that a run on stablecoins could spread to traditional financial markets, and the president of the European Central Bank (ECB) has also mentioned similar risks. Responsible practices in the financial sector have been identified, but complex cyberattacks promoted by certain entities could weaken the resilience of financial institutions and market infrastructure. Relevant communications have been submitted to the G20 meeting of finance ministers and central bank governors.
