Chairman of the Financial Stability Board: Cross-border stablecoin regulation is still not mature
2026-10-12 14:55:51
According to CoinMeta, as reported by Cointelegraph, Chairman Andrew Bailey of the Financial Stability Board FSB wrote to G20 the Treasury Secretary and the Central Bank Governor, warning that the regulation of cross-border stablecoins and crisis response mechanisms are still not mature. A run on stablecoins could lead to the sale of reserve assets and trigger a outflow of bank deposits, which in turn could impact traditional financial markets. At the same time, FSB also urged G20 to support the safe and prudent use of artificial intelligence in the financial industry, with a focus on preventing cybersecurity risks and third-party service risks associated with AI.
