According to CoinMeta, the United States Federal Election Commission disclosed that two cryptocurrency political action committees under Fairshake, Defend American Jobs and Protect Progress, invested approximately $2.7 million before the mid-term elections to support advertising and direct mail campaigns for Democratic and Republican candidates in the House of Representatives. This includes an investment of $512,000 in Pete Aguilar, $500,000 in Josh Gottheimer, over $76,000 in Tom Emmer, and $73,000 in Glenn Thompson. The aforementioned candidates have all voted in support of the Clarity legislation. Fairshake previously announced its support for another 32 House of Representatives candidates and, as of August, held $122 million in cash, planning to invest at least $30 million to prevent former Senator Sherrod Brown, who opposes legislation for the crypto industry, from returning to Congress.
