According to CoinMeta, as reported by etoday, the Financial Intelligence Analysis Service of South Korea (FISK) announced on October 13 that the Korean Broadcasting Media Communications Commission has decided to implement measures to block domestic access or terminate services for 27 unregistered overseas cryptocurrency exchange websites that operate business targeting South Korean users. These include platforms such as KuCoin, MEXC, Phemex, XT.COM, Bitrue, CoinW, Poloniex, BTCC, BingX, and BitMart. This move extends the previous restrictions on app downloads and updates for Google Play and Apple's App Store to also cover website access. FIU has already notified the investigative authorities about 44 unregistered virtual asset service providers and plans to continue blocking alternative domain names used by these platforms to circumvent the restrictions.
