CoinShares and Safe Labs Collaborate to Launch a Second Asset Management Channel
2026-10-14 20:24:47
According to CoinMeta, CoinShares announced the launch of its on-chain strategy business through collaboration with Safe Labs and Railnet, directly introducing professionally managed stablecoin investments into blockchain wallets used by institutional clients. This announcement marks the first commercial deployment of this NASDAQ-listed asset management company's on-chain investment platform. Qualified Safe enterprise users can allocate stablecoins to strategies that combine decentralized finance (DEFI) returns with tokenized real-world assets (RWAs) returns. This arrangement creates a new distribution channel for CoinShares without the need for the company to hold client assets or finance from its own balance sheet. CoinShares, the CEO of Marie Mognetti, stated that this move adds a second distribution engine to the company's business. According to CoinShares's data, Safe smart accounts hold a total of over $60 billion in self-stored digital assets, of which approximately $7.5 billion is in the form of stablecoins, accounting for about 2.5% of the global stablecoin market, which is worth $300 billion.
