International Energy Agency warns global diesel shortage could persist until 2027

CoinMeta data: The International Energy Agency ( IEA ) warns in its latest oil market report that despite the United States' decision to relax restrictions on Russian fuel imports, a global diesel shortage could continue until 2027. The report indicates that global diesel and gasoline exports averaged around 4.7 million barrels per day in September, nearly 700,000 barrels per day less than in the same period last year. Although refinery operations are expected to recover, IEA believes that the cumulative shortage from 2026 will take longer to resolve. The increasing pressure on diesel prices is affecting transportation companies, agricultural producers, and manufacturers.
