According to CoinMeta, as reported by Japanese media nada and news, Lotte Group's cryptocurrency exchange Rakuten Wallet (Lotte Wallet) launched a new mobile app on October 14th, integrating the previously separate functions of spot cryptocurrency trading and margin trading onto the same platform. Two existing standalone apps are scheduled to cease services at the beginning of 2027. The new app also introduces passkey password-free authentication and allows users to purchase cryptocurrencies using Lotte points. Lotte Wallet has been engaged in compliant cryptocurrency asset trading in Japan since 2019 and obtained the qualification to trade in Class 1 financial products in 2020.
