According to CoinMeta and market reports, several banks are competing to participate in a $4.25 billion debt financing deal to support the acquisition of the radiopharmaceutical company Lantheus Holdings by Curium. The financing plan is set to be distributed to investors through a syndicate next year. Sources familiar with the matter revealed that JPMorgan Chase, one of Curium's financial advisors, is leading the arrangement of this financing, and another financial advisor, Jefferies Financial Group, has also joined in. These sources stated that several other lending institutions are in negotiations to join the financing, and it is expected that a larger bank syndicate will soon be formed. Banks are competing for leveraged buyout financing deals because such transactions typically generate some of the highest fee revenues in investment banking. Participating in such deals also helps to improve a bank's ranking in business rankings, which may in turn affect the bonuses of bankers.
