According to CoinMeta, as reported by Decrypt, security company calif.io demonstrated a seamless jailbreak of iPhone version 18 Pro at the Hexacon conference in Paris, successfully running iOS version 27.0.1. This is the first time a seamless and permanent jailbreak has been successfully achieved on such devices. Jailbreaking can remove Apple's software restrictions, granting users root access, allowing them to install unauthorized applications, add new features, and customize the interface. The demonstration showed how the team was able to restart the phone, unlock it with a regular password, and open a SSH session as a root user. The demonstration took place on the opening day of the conference, which is aimed at attracting researchers who discover and exploit security vulnerabilities.
