According to CoinMeta, a report states that the US-Iran ceasefire proposal is still awaiting a response. Pro-Iranian militias are accused of transferring funds back to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard. As reported by Axios, US Central Command Commander General Kenneth Cooper claimed that pro-Iranian groups such as Hezbollah, Hamas, and Iraqi Shiite militias are funnelling money back to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard. The Iranian government is also accused of owing salaries, pensions, and benefits to members of the Revolutionary Guard and public sector workers. US officials cited by the report said that in order to avoid an escalation of conflicts before the midterms, the White House has ordered US forces to nearly cease targeting Iranian anti-ship missile facilities and drone launch sites near the Strait of Hormuz. The US believes that this pause in strikes has given Iran more confidence to launch attacks. Meanwhile, the White House and Qatari mediators are still waiting for Iran's response to the US proposal to end the war, while regional mediators are urging Iran to respond as soon as possible.
