According to CoinMeta, as reported by Cointelegraph, nine listed companies have officially opposed the issuance of their stocks in tokenized form on the proposed platforms supported by OKX and Intercontinental Exchange (ICE). ICE is the parent company of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE). The companies involved include Cerebras Systems, AppLovin, Applied Digital, Rocket Lab, Verizon Communications, Applied Optoelectronics, Broadcom, and UnitedHealth Group. The announcement did not disclose the specific reasons for each company's objection. According to the innovative exemption arrangements announced by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on September 17, tokenization trading platforms are required to provide written notice to the issuers and offer an opportunity to object before listing third-party tokenized stocks. In the past 30 days, over $754 million has been transferred onto the blockchain, and the total scale of stablecoins and tokenized assets has reached $320 billion.
