According to CoinMeta, on October 19th, the Blockchain Association of America submitted formal comments to the U.S. Treasury Department regarding the implementation rules of Section 3 of the genius Act, requesting clarification of the regulatory boundaries for digital asset service providers ( DASP ). The association aims to ensure that self-hosted software, blockchain validators, DEFI liquidity providers, and institutions that only conduct proprietary trading are not subject to regulation due to their related activities. At the same time, the association opposes the direct classification of ordinary market-making, token distribution, and secondary market trading as participation in the issuance of illegal stablecoins, advocating that such responsibilities should be based on actual knowledge and substantial assistance provided in coordination with the issuers.
