According to CoinMeta, as announced by the Japan Crypto Asset Business Association on October 20th, the association established a special working group and released a draft security management guideline for crypto exchanges, wallets, and signature system outsourcing service providers. The guidelines cover 10 major areas and include 347 inspection items, with a focus on private key generation and storage, separation of cold and hot wallets, transaction signature verification, and management of third-party suppliers. It is noted that in recent years, there have been frequent cyberattacks targeting wallet and signature service outsourcing providers, and traditional auditing methods are insufficient to fully address the unique risks associated with crypto assets.
