Lido Project Leader Warns of Risk of Stolen Deposits During Ethereum Glamsterdam Upgrade
2026-10-20 16:59:48
According to CoinMeta, Lido, the person in charge of the project, Dima Gusakov, stated that during the Ethereum Glamsterdam hard fork transition, the delegated staking protocol is at risk of遭遇 rush attack scenarios. Glamsterdam will introduce a system where withdrawals using deposits prefixed with 0xb0 are treated the same as those from verifiers; before and after the fork, these deposits share the same queue. Malicious node operators could seize stakers' funds and transfer them to the attackers' accounts, resulting in the corresponding verifiers being unable to activate. The related fix proposal consensus-specs has been closed, and each staking protocol must now perform its own checks before accepting deposits.
