Qatar says nuclear negotiations between the US and Iran are still ongoing
2026-10-21 01:32:55
According to CoinMeta, Majid Ansaari, advisor to the Qatar Prime Minister and spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated at the Eighth Global Security Forum held in Doha that despite the ongoing escalation of tensions in the Middle East region, negotiations between the United States and Iran regarding Iran's nuclear issue are still continuing, with both sides maintaining diplomatic contact. He pointed out that the lack of public information about the progress of these negotiations does not mean that they have come to a standstill. Diplomatic efforts behind closed doors can help increase the likelihood of successful mediation, and the fact that such progress is not made public may actually indicate that the mediation efforts are being effective. Ansaari emphasized that Qatar will continue to play a role in diplomatic mediation, drawing on past mediation experiences to promote the resolution of regional disputes through dialogue and diplomatic means.
