2026-10-21 05:57:08
According to CoinMeta, SpaceX and Tesla have established a special committee to explore potential merger deals. Musk revealed during the SpaceX financial report conference call that both companies have set up committees composed of independent directors to discuss the possibility of such a deal. Musk stated that due to conflicts of interest, he cannot actually participate in the discussions. However, he also added that he thinks it would be a good idea. Musk pointed out that enhanced cooperation between the two parties in areas such as artificial intelligence, chips, robotics, and communication technologies could bring significant potential benefits. But he also emphasized that a merger is not a sure thing, as it requires the approval of 50% of Tesla's shareholders, which is a rather high hurdle to overcome.
