Adobe announces the integration of multiple creative and productivity products into Slack. Enterprise users can directly invoke relevant functions within the chat interface to process images, videos, and documents. The first batch of services is available to Slack Business users, as well as teams that use Enterprise.
Slackbot allows for direct invocation of tools.
The focus of this update is to allow users to initiate tasks using natural language through Slackbot. After the user describes their requirements, Slackbot will call the corresponding Adobe tool to complete the processing. Adobe states that the system will also perform operations in conjunction with the context of the conversation.
According to the official statement, users can convert chat records or content from Canvas into PDF, as well as images and videos. They can also retrieve past marketing materials or content from the Creative Cloud asset library and continue to edit them within the chat.
More than 70 functions integrated with Slack
Except for the integration of Slackbot, Adobe indicates that more than 70 Adobe tools will be connected to Slack through Adobe for Slack MCP. The products that have already been covered include Firefly, Adobe Express, Photoshop, Premiere, Acrobat, InDesign, Illustrator, Stock, and Lightroom, among others.
This means that in team collaboration scenarios, users do not need to frequently switch between independent software interfaces in order to complete tasks such as design, content creation, and document processing.
Dialog-based AI becomes a new entry point for software
Adobe launched a similar integration for ChatGPT last month, and plans to continue rolling out integrations for Gemini. Company executives stated that users are already using Adobe tools in other applications to perform repetitive tasks such as batch image editing and uniform adjustment of material sizes.
In addition to Adobe, companies such as Canva and Figma are also integrating their capabilities into ChatGPT and Claude. On the other hand, manufacturers like Anthropic are strengthening the integration of Slack, as the context of team collaboration is often preserved in chat records.
