According to AFP, Norwegian Digital Minister Karianne Tung stated that the government is studying how to regulate the use of such connected devices. Tung indicates that governments need to prevent these devices from being used to monitor others in public places. She also said that regulatory measures may include banning the use of facial recognition in public places for identifying individuals.
