Concordium The foundation appointed Geely Sweden Holding Company CEO Per Ansgar as a director, further strengthening the partnership between this blockchain infrastructure platform and Geely Group. The company disclosed that this appointment will extend the cooperation between the two parties, which began in 2021, to include verifiable AI agency, digital identity, and autonomous payment scenarios.
Cooperation extends from connected vehicle payments
The early cooperation between the two parties mainly focused on automatic settlement between vehicles and external infrastructure. According to the information disclosed in the article, in the future, connected cars will be able to complete charging, payment for tolls, and service fees without direct operation by a driver.
Concordium is currently shifting its focus to "verifiable digital interactions." The core issue is that when software or AI agents are able to initiate transactions on their own, the system needs to clarify who owns those agents, who authorizes them to perform such operations, and who is responsible in case of any problems.
Geely executive joins the governance team
The company disclosed that Per Ansgar has been serving as the CEO of Geely Sweden Holdings since November 2024, and previously held the position of CFO in the same company. He has worked at Volvo Cars for 26 years, holding various positions including Deputy CFO and CFO for Volvo China, before later taking on the role of CFO at Polestar.
This means that the senior managers of Geely have officially joined the governance team of Concordium. For Concordium, this is not only a personnel adjustment to the board of directors but also an introduction of practical operational experience from the automotive and financial sectors as they advance the infrastructure for AI proxy transactions.
AI Proxy Registration System is now live.
Concordium indicates that its infrastructure is establishing a verifiable identity system around the autonomously operating AI agents. The company states that counterparties can use this to confirm whether a particular agent is authorized by a verified individual or institution.
According to the company's disclosure, Agent Registry of Concordium was launched in May 2026, and currently, there are over 1,600 registered AI agents. Each registered agent is bound to a verified owner and receives an identifier of “Verified by Concordium”.
- Number of registered agents: over 1,600
- Launch date: May 2026
- Supported networks: Ethereum, Solana, etc.
This identifier can be used across networks, including Ethereum and Solana. The article states that this design allows AI agents to prove the information of their underlying owners to counterparties without disclosing the underlying company documents.
