IT News on September 29th: According to a recent report by The Financial Times, the European Union has demanded that the British government follow its trade policies by imposing a 45% tariff on electric vehicles manufactured in China. Otherwise, the UK will be excluded from the "Made in Europe" supply chain.

As learned from the original report, IT, the British government has spent several weeks lobbying the European Union in an attempt to incorporate the UK automotive industry into the European supply chain. However, the EU prefers that the UK secure its borders first before discussing other issues.

According to people familiar with the matter, EU officials intend to have the UK join a customs union in order to reduce the differences in import tariffs between countries. They are concerned that Chinese automobile manufacturers could transport cars to the UK and then export them to the EU, thereby avoiding European tariff policies.

As early as 2024, the European Union imposed tariffs of up to 45% on electric vehicles manufactured in China, but the UK refused to adopt the same measures at that time. Chinese-branded cars currently account for 16% of the UK's new car market.

Bitcoin Outperforms Gold, on Track to Reach $100,000: Crypto Daily
Bitcoin BTC trades at $84,117.13, showing a trend that was seemingly unimaginable earlier this quarter and earlier this year: it outperforms gold as yields rise and suppress gold prices, and its price trend also indicates a potential rise to $100,000. On Monday, gold fell by nearly 4%, while Bitcoin only dropped by 1% and maintained its strength above $80,000. Fidelity's Global Macro Head Jurrien Timmer stated that Bitcoin's breakthrough above $80,000 triggered a "double bottom breakout," and if confirmed, it could open the way for a run towards $100,000.
