IT News on September 30th: According to a report by technology media Sammobile today, Su Zifeng, the CEO of AMD, is expected to travel to South Korea next month to hold talks with senior executives from Samsung Electronics.

According to the original report, Su Zifeng is expected to discuss AI chips, technical cooperation, and other topics during this round of discussions. Samsung is poised to become one of AMD HBM's top four suppliers. For reference, South Korea boasts many advanced semiconductor production bases, and the world's largest memory chip suppliers, SK Hynix and Samsung, are both located in South Korea.

AMD has been in contact with Samsung for some time. In March of this year, AMD signed a memorandum of understanding with Samsung regarding cooperation in AI storage chips and computing technologies. At that time, there were rumors that Samsung had been selected by AMD as the preferred supplier for its AI accelerator HBM4 chips.
