[ PR Newswire ] Shoulder Innovations, Inc. ("Shoulder Innovations" or "the company") (NYSE : SI) is a medical technology company in the commercialization phase, focused on transforming the shoulder surgery care market. The company announced today that it has launched a limited user release of InSet ® Go. InSet ® Go is the company's next-generation glenoid implant, used for anatomical shoulder replacement surgeries.

The first procedure using InSet ® Go was performed by Dr. Robert Gillespie from the Cleveland Medical Center at the University of Ohio Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio.

InSet ® Glenoid technology, including implants and surgical techniques, was invented over 20 years ago by Stephen Gunther MD, aiming to solve the serious problem of glenoid implant loosening. Glenoid implant loosening is a major cause of failure in anatomical shoulder replacement surgeries. This design embeds the implant within a ring of hard, supportive bone tissue, eliminating the "teeter-totter" mechanism that leads to glenoid loosening. The next generation of InSet ® Go continues this clinically proven original design principle to preserve bone mass, simplify the technique, and maximize implant stability. The company states that this product also further simplifies the operating room process, reduces the number of surgical steps, and is expected to shorten the operation time.

Stephen Gunther A Doctor of Medicine stated: "InSet Go is our next generation step in driving a paradigm shift, aimed at bringing patients more lasting, pain-free, and successful surgical outcomes."

This next-generation implant also incorporates additional intellectual property elements to protect the key technical components of clinical success, namely the complex articular surface of the InSet ® glenoid technology, as well as the Inset ® PLUS enhanced configurations that are very important for bone defect correction.

A Doctor of Medicine and Master of Public Health from Chris Chuinard in Traverse City, Michigan, stated: "I have been using InSet technology for over a decade and have achieved significant therapeutic effects that are consistent with the published clinical results. InSet Go has continued this revolution by combining unparalleled long-term stability with immediate fixation."

Shoulder Innovations CEO Rob Ball stated: " InSet Go is built on the ten years of performance that our surgeons and patients have come to trust, and now it is equipped with a surgical process that is significantly more efficient for the surgical team and medical institutions. So far, we are encouraged by the strong commercial response we have seen, and we look forward to fully launching InSet Go in the coming quarters."
