Dubai, United Arab Emirates, October 12th / PRNewswire / -- Bybit This "new financial platform" trusted by over 80 million users worldwide has announced that stocks can now be traded through Bybit. Eligible users have access to more than 1,000 U.S.-listed stocks and ETF, including Apple ( AAPL ), NVIDIA ( NVDA ), Tesla ( TSLA ), Micron Technology ( MU ), as well as Invesco QQQ ETF ( QQQ ).

This advancement has expanded the multi-asset platform of Bybit, adding access to U.S. stocks in addition to existing digital assets and traditional market products. Eligible users who are located in jurisdictions that permit it and have completed the required KYC verification can trade U.S. stocks supported by USDC and ETF.

Bybit, Co-Founder and CEO, Ben Zhou stated: "Stocks are an important part of our evolution towards a 'new financial platform.' The financial market has long been divided by various products and platforms, but users increasingly desire a more interconnected experience. With stocks now available for trading through Bybit, what we are doing is not just adding another type of asset; we are providing people with broader access to the financial market and greater freedom to pursue opportunities."

Access to US stocks and ETF.

Stock trading enables eligible users to use USDC to buy and sell supported US stocks and ETF, bringing stock exposures into the same environment as digital assets. Unlike price derivatives or synthetic instruments, stock trading allows eligible users to have economic rights to the underlying securities they purchase.

Orders are routed through the regulated brokerage infrastructure of Bybit, and executed by Alpaca, which is a US-based self-clearing brokerage dealer and also a global leader in agent-first infrastructure. In addition, the underlying securities are held in custody by Alpaca.

Alpaca, Co-Founder and CEO, stated: "The expansion of Bybit into U.S. stocks and ETF is an important step in providing its global users with a more comprehensive and multi-asset trading experience. We are delighted to collaborate with Bybit to facilitate this round of global market access."

The main features at launch included:

  • Over 1,000 US stocks and ETF, including widely traded companies; eligible securities are available for fractional trading.
  • It is possible to use the USDC transaction, allowing eligible users to directly fund their stock purchases from their Bybit account.
  • Direct access to the economic exposure of the underlying stock, rather than exposure to derivatives or synthetic prices.
  • Users are allowed to manage eligible crypto and stock positions within the Bybit ecosystem.
  • Supports corporate actions, including cash and stock dividends as well as stock splits.
  • 24/5 trading available, accessible during pre-market, regular trading, and post-market hours in the US, subject to product availability.
  • Zero commission: No transaction fees are charged for eligible stock trades.

Users who meet the conditions and hold supported US stocks and ETF can obtain economic benefits related to their holdings, including cash dividends and stock dividends, but must comply with the applicable securities and company regulations. Cash dividends will be converted from US dollars to USDC and credited to the user's unified trading account (UTA); stock dividends will be directly reflected in the user's holdings.

Stock splits will also be reflected in users' holdings according to the applicable company actions. A voting rights plan will be introduced in future stages.

Build a broader multi-asset platform

After adding the stock service, the exchange's product range has further expanded to cover both traditional and digital markets. In addition to trading in crypto spot and derivatives, Bybit also provides access to traditional markets through its MT5 platform, tokenized stocks, and TradFi perpetual contracts.

Ben added, "We believe that the next chapter in finance will be one where the barriers between the crypto market and traditional markets no longer exist. Bybit is designed to operate in both worlds and to prove that the mass tokenization of real-world assets is not just a vision for the future, but something we are delivering today."
