Hon Hai Technology Group ( Foxconn ) ( TWSE :2317 )'s Kathy Yang has been selected for the second consecutive year into the 2026 "Most Influential Women in Asia" list, which reflects her responsibilities at the intersection of the physical industrial world and the digital AI world. Hon Hai is the world's largest electronics manufacturer and a leading AI server supplier.
As the General Manager of Global Park Operations for Foxconn, as well as the person in charge of software and infrastructure business for AI and AI, Yang was selected alongside 16 other winners from the technology industry. The technology industry is the most representative sector in this year's list, surpassing the banking industry, which had 14 selected representatives. Her selection also reflects that as the scale and influence of enterprises covering digital platforms, advanced manufacturing, and other technology-driven industries continue to expand, the core role of technology in the Asian economy is growing increasingly strong.
Fortune, Senior Director of the Asian Rankings, Charmian Choo stated: "What is most notable in this year's rankings is the evolution of the Asian business landscape. We see that established leaders continue to influence some of the region's largest companies, while a new generation is also rapidly emerging. The prominent role of technology is particularly evident, reflecting the growing influence of this industry in the Asian economy, as well as the increasingly important role of women in this transformation."
Yang Women leaders played a key role in the AI Industrial Revolution. The real challenge lies not in implementing technology, but in redesigning work, investing in training, and helping our talents around the world, both men and women, to evolve together with technology. She is responsible for Foxconn more than 240 factories in 24 countries. "Within five years, the best factories will not just be those with the highest degree of automation, but ones where humans, AI, and robots complement and enhance each other."
Earlier this year, Yang was also selected for Fortune's list of the most influential women in the business sector for 2026. Her work combines Foxconn's global manufacturing scale, engineering capabilities, and operational experience with software, data, computing infrastructure, and artificial intelligence.
Previously, Yang served as the rotating CEO of Foxconn, becoming the first woman to hold that position. During her tenure, she focused on enhancing corporate execution, business collaboration, and governance discipline, working for one of the largest and most complex industrial organizations in the world. At the same time, she is also a director on the board of Foxconn Industrial Internet ( FII ), as well as the chairman and CEO of JUSDA; both companies are key business units of Foxconn.
