According to 4Gamer, recently an open-source application named “DroidDeck” has attracted attention in the industry. It allows Android phones to run PC games from the Steam platform through a Proton compatibility layer, and provides an operation interface similar to that of SteamOS, making it convenient for users to manage and launch games. The project’s official website is at the address https://github.com/Droid-Deck/DroidDeck.

IT has learned that DroidDeck supports AMD FSR and Snapdragon GSR ultra-resolution technologies, and can even use frame generation technology to further improve smoothness. However, achieving smooth visuals still requires a relatively powerful mobile phone hardware. According to tests by the technology channel ETA PRIME, on the Red Magic 11 Pro equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, "Cyberpunk 2077" can run at 720P resolution with medium graphics quality, achieving a frame rate of 60 FPS; the earlier released game "Survival Road 2" can reach 120 FPS.

It should be noted that many games are originally designed for the large-screen PC platform, so players may need to use external keyboards, mice, and controllers. In addition, some games may not be able to properly adapt to the common screen ratios of 20:9 and 19.5:9 on mobile phones, nor may they handle high-density display environments with a resolution exceeding 300 DPI. As a result, the text on the game interface may become too small, or there may even be issues where content goes beyond the screen boundaries.
