Pantera Capital led this round of financing, with Circle Ventures, New Form, gumi, Cryptos Capital, Borderless Capital, and GTS as well as the CEO of Ari Rubenstein also participating in the investment.
- Tokenization is rapidly moving private market funds onto a digital track, but the development of liquidity has not kept pace. The traditional fund structure forces investors to face long settlement and redemption cycles. Fission helps to narrow this gap, allowing eligible investors to obtain their funds more quickly.
- This financing will expand the liquidity capabilities of Fission, support a broader range of tokenized private markets and semi-liquid funds, and deepen its integration into the digital investment ecosystem.
- Fission indicates that the company has processed millions of dollars in redemption transactions, demonstrating that the market's demand for more flexible liquidity in tokenized private market funds is growing.
New York, October 15, 2026 / PRNewswire / -- Fintech company Fission, which utilizes blockchain technology to build liquidity infrastructure for tokenized investment funds, announced today that it has completed a $10 million Series A financing round. This financing round was led by Pantera Capital, with investors coming from both traditional finance and digital assets sectors.
Investment funds are rapidly migrating to the blockchain. Tokenization has changed the way fund shares are issued, distributed, and settled, but many of the underlying market structures remain unchanged. Tokenized funds still rely on periodic redemption windows, limited liquidity in the secondary market, and financing structures with numerous restrictions.
Fission is building a liquidity layer aimed at changing this status quo.
The company provides liquidity for its supported tokenized fund products, enabling eligible holders to access their funds without having to wait for the traditional fund redemption cycle. Fission supports an expanding range of tokenized funds, covering asset classes such as private credit, alternative assets, and other institutional investment products. The company states that it has processed millions of dollars in transactions and is currently expanding its capacity through both traditional and on-chain sources of capital.
Fission Founder and CEO Jonathan Shaffer stated: "Moving funds onto the blockchain is just the beginning. The real potential of tokenization lies in creating fundamentally better markets around these assets: broader distribution, sustained liquidity, and the ability to use fund shares as collateral in lending markets. Whether it's a private equity fund or one that is limited by traditional liquidity structures, Fission is working on the technology to make these assets more liquid, transferable, and practical in financial markets."
Fission indicates that its platform is specifically designed for institutions and licensed markets, with its infrastructure tailored to meet the investor qualifications, transfer restrictions, and compliance requirements of regulated investment products. This enables Fission to introduce on-chain liquidity to these assets while retaining the control mechanisms necessary for the securities market.
This new funding will support Fission in continuing to expand in terms of asset coverage, liquidity capacity, and institutional integration.
Pantera Capital General Partners Franklin Bi state: "Investment funds are transitioning onto a digital track, and liquidity is one of the key components required to fully unleash the potential of this transformation. Fission is building the infrastructure to help tokenized funds transform from digital representations bound by the old constraints of traditional products into assets that are fundamentally more liquid and productive."
This round of financing has brought Pantera Capital, Circle Ventures, Borderless Capital, and Ari Rubenstein into the investor camp of Fission; existing supporters also include New Form, gumi, Cryptos Capital, Anthony Scaramucci, Manhattan Venture Partners, Reflexive Capital, and Lattice Capital.
