Shangrao, China, October 17, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- JinkoSolar Holding Co., Ltd. ("JinkoSolar" or "the Company") ( NYSE : JKS ) today released the Tiger Neo 5.0. This is a all-black residential solar module built on its new TAC technology.
The first version to be launched on the market is a fully black 48-cell battery module with a maximum output power of 510 watts and a module efficiency of 25.52%. This product is designed to redefine the upper limits of scenario-based modules in terms of appearance and efficiency, targeting high-end residences and other homes with higher requirements for architectural aesthetics.
The company stated that compared to traditional back-contact (BC) components, this component features a deeper, more uniform, and more exquisite black appearance. The semiconductor-grade high and low temperature manufacturing process reduces the power temperature coefficient to -0.24%/°C, which means it can achieve stronger power generation performance in high-temperature environments.
TAC technology combines the excellent carrier transport capability of TOPCon, as well as the low-temperature processing and positive electrode passivation capabilities of HJT, to increase the battery's peak efficiency to 28%, which is close to the theoretical limit of monocrystalline silicon batteries. With zero-pitch battery arrangement at the component level and hidden solder strip technology, this component has achieved an efficiency of 25.52%.
The company claims that compared to traditional BC products, this component can output approximately 30 more watts of power and has a lower temperature coefficient. Its deeper, more premium-looking black exterior allows it to blend more naturally with residential rooftops, especially those with a dark color, thus achieving both high power output and aesthetic appeal in the category of residential components.
Management Statement
Charlie Cao, the CEO of JinkoSolar Corporation, stated: "Our vision for Tiger Neo 5.0 is to develop a module specifically designed for high-end residential rooftops. With this release, we hope to drive the industry towards developing customized solutions for specific applications."
