Frontiers of Freedom indicates that Senator Cynthia Lummis mishandled the promotion of the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act (CLARITY Act) in the Senate, resulting in the bill failing to proceed to a full Senate vote during the procedural voting. The organization states that the bill, which originally had the support of both parties, has since been stalled, and to this day, the United States still lacks the encryption regulations needed by the industry and consumers.

Frontiers of Freedom indicates that Senator Cynthia Lummis (Republican, Wyoming) wasted the greatest opportunity of her career while handling the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act (Digital Asset Market Clarity Act, H.R.3633).

The organization stated that for many years, the crypto industry and consumers have been calling for clear regulatory rules that would allow American companies to conduct business locally, enhance investors' confidence in the products they purchase, and help consumers choose products that suit them best. CLARITY Act was supposed to meet these needs.

After the House of Representatives passed CLARITY Act with broad bipartisan support in July 2025, Lummis, who goes by the nickname "The Queen of Crypto," drafted a new bill from scratch in the Senate, causing delays of several months in the progress of the legislation. As a result, the bipartisan support for CLARITY Act gradually dissipated.

Frontiers of Freedom President George Landrith stated: "The Trump administration firmly demands that CLARITY be completed by the end of 2025. Both parties in Congress support it. The path forward is clear. Lummis After taking over Senate duties, she messed this up." He also said, "Today, we are releasing a AI video to clarify the reasons for the failure of CLARITY Act."

The organization stated that CLARITY Act finally went through the procedural voting in the Senate after more than a year, but failed to obtain the opportunity for a full Senate vote. As a result, a bill that had received widespread bipartisan support in the House of Representatives did not even make it to the Senate chamber after being processed at Lummis.

The organization stated that the United States still does not have the regulations that the crypto industry and consumers desire today, "We all know who is responsible for that."
