Raytron Industrial announces the launch of two new products: the TN660 high-frame-rate fixed thermal imaging camera and the TN463 fixed thermal imaging camera. Both products offer a resolution of 640×512 pixels and can output images and temperature data simultaneously. The TN660 supports image capture at 120Hz in full resolution, making it suitable for moving objects and transient thermal processes; the TN463 provides a frame rate of 60Hz, which is ideal for routine online detection and continuous device monitoring.
Full-resolution imaging suitable for different process speeds
TN660 uses uncooled VOx detectors with a pixel pitch of 12μm, which allows for a frame rate of 120Hz at native resolution without the need to limit image capture to a local area, thus preserving spatial details and the entire field of view. There is approximately an 8.33-millisecond interval between adjacent frames, enabling engineers to study rapid heating and cooling processes, as well as short-term thermal events in scientific research, industrial automation, and transportation applications.
TN463 uses the same detector resolution and pixel pitch. An image output at 60Hz helps to support regular production cycles and long-term temperature trend analysis. To meet different installation requirements, TN463 offers lenses of 6.9 millimeters, 9.1 millimeters, 19 millimeters, and 25 millimeters; TN660 provides lenses of 9.1 millimeters and 25 millimeters.
From event-triggered collection to synchronous analysis
Both cameras support hardware and software triggering to synchronize image capture with device operation. External signals through the I/O interface can trigger capture at predetermined stages of the process. For example, TN660 can start recording the thermal process when the hot press is activated, thereby reducing unnecessary recording and subsequent review workload.
Synchronous output allows temperature readings to be associated with the corresponding thermal maps. The TI Studio software of Raytron Industrial supports simultaneous preview and analysis of data from up to four cameras, and provides temperature and temperature rise alarms to indicate abnormal conditions. Engineers can review records, analyze and export historical temperature curves, generate reports, and link device events with thermal data for further analysis.
Temperature measurement and system integration
Both models can measure temperatures ranging from -20°C to 150°C and from 100°C to 650°C, with a measurement accuracy of ±2°C or ±2% of the reading, whichever is greater. Ethernet and the USB interface support data collection, and compatibility with industrial protocols such as Modbus TCP facilitates the integration of temperature data into existing control and monitoring systems.
With the option of two frame rates, 60Hz and 120Hz, users can adjust the thermal imaging acquisition methods for TN463 and TN660 according to their process requirements, covering everything from continuous device monitoring to dynamic detection.
