According to a document from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) published on Monday, Strive, Inc. ( ASST ) purchased 6,182 bitcoins between October 17th and October 23rd, for a total amount of $511.4 million. The average price per bitcoin purchased by the company was $82,732.
This purchase increased Strive's Bitcoin holdings to 43,000 BTC. During the same period, the company's cash and marketable securities increased by $187.7 million to $554.6 million.
This purchase occurred one week after Strive completed its initial public offering under the SATS expansion plan. SATS represents 15% of the company's Class A perpetual preferred stock. The company sold 7 million shares at $90 per share, raising a total of $630 million. These preferred stocks offer a 15% dividend based on a par value of $100, and calculated at the issue price, the yield is 16.67%. If the board of directors declares a dividend, payments will begin on November 9th and will be made on each business day thereafter.
Strive was initially set with a target issuance size of 500 million US dollars for SATS. Subsequently, due to demand, the issuance size was increased by 2 million shares. The stock is traded on NASDAQ. The company has reserved a dividend reserve of 157.5 million US dollars, which is sufficient to cover the dividends for 18 months of the newly issued shares.
$1 billion ATM plan for SATS
The document reveals a new plan for issuing at market price ( ATM ), under which the company can sell up to $1 billion worth of SATS over a certain period of time. Cantor Fitzgerald , Barclays , Clear Street , StoneX , B. Riley Securities , Maxim Group , and H.C act as sales agents. Wainwright is responsible for sales representation.
This structure is similar to the arrangement established by Strive for its first preferred stock, SATA. SATA adopts a floating dividend and pays it in cash on each business day. In December 2025, Strive established a $500 million ATM plan for SATA. The funds raised by this tool on one day in May exceeded the total supply of Bitcoin mined that day.
According to the SATS plan, Strive can issue preferred stocks when demand is sufficient to support the price, and invest the proceeds in Bitcoin. The company stated that the raised funds can be used for purchasing Bitcoin, income-generating assets, working capital, repurchases, or acquisitions.
Strive's rise in the reserve rankings
Strive went public in 2025 through a reverse merger as a Bitcoin reserve company and completed a full-stock acquisition of Semler Scientific in January. This was the first instance of a listed Bitcoin reserve company acquiring another listed Bitcoin reserve company. By December 2025, its holdings amounted to approximately 7,525 BTC. Since then, this number has grown to more than five times that amount.
On October 20th, the company reported holding 36,818 units of BTC. Prior to that, from October 12th to 16th, they purchased 4,045 units of BTC. On Monday, the total number increased by another 6,182 units of BTC based on this initial total.
Strive funds its purchases through common stock and preferred equity financing, with no debt: no bonds, no credit lines, and no leveraged positions.
Chairman and CEO Matt Cole stated that IPO of SATS is "a key milestone in our strategy to maximize the long-term total return for common shareholders."
Strategy, which holds the largest amount of Bitcoin among enterprises, proposed in September to implement a daily dividend for its 5 preferred stocks. The company currently holds 848,517 BTC.
