As traders reduce their risk exposure ahead of the Federal Reserve meeting, Bitcoin and Solana are under pressure again; however, corporate treasuries purchases and bullish views on Galaxy Research provide another market signal.
In the early trading session on Monday, Bitcoin fell by nearly 2% to around $79,300, breaking below $80,000 for the third time since October 24th. At the time of publication, $BTC was trading around $80,300.
Selling pressure has also spread to major cryptocurrencies. $ETH has fallen to just above $2,300, while $XRP has retreated to around $1.28. Solana has dropped by more than 2%, to around $100, and after falling below $99 on Saturday, it is still trying to hold that level.

Traders seem to have reduced their risk exposure ahead of this week's Federal Reserve meeting. Geopolitical uncertainties also add extra pressure. It is reported that the United States is rapidly evacuating personnel from its embassies and military bases across the Middle East on Saturday. Another source of selling pressure comes from the long-awaited IPO; the company finally submitted its application early Monday, with Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley leading the underwriting. This AI giant plans to list on NASDAQ under the stock code ANT, with a valuation that could reach $2 trillion and a financing scale of up to $100 billion. Meta also announced a sale of $95 billion in shares, bringing the potential capital needs of both companies together to nearly $200 billion. Such a large-scale issuance may prompt investors to sell other assets in order to free up liquidity; a similar situation occurred before SpaceX IPO in June this year.

Strive purchased 511.4 million US dollars worth of Bitcoin, while Strategy remained inactive.
Corporate treasury-level Bitcoin activities reflect a different market sentiment. Strive Chairman and CEO Matt Cole stated that the company added 6,182 units of $BTC last week, worth 511.4 million US dollars.
After raising over $600 million through the financing of its preferred stock IPO, Strive increased its total Bitcoin holdings to 43,000 coins, valued at approximately $3.44 billion at current prices. The company also raised its cash reserves to $504.4 million to build a fund for paying preferred stock dividends.
DeFi Development Corp. Continue to buy $ SOL.
Despite the weakening of the price of $ SOL, development in the areas of institutions and infrastructure continues. Solana Treasury Company DeFi Development Corp purchased approximately 5,346 units of $ SOL last week, increasing its holdings to 2.59 million units of $ SOL.
Galaxy Research says, "Now is the time to buy $ BTC"
Galaxy Research has given a more optimistic outlook on the prospects of Bitcoin. Alex Thorn, the head of research at this institution, stated in a report released on Monday that the bear market for Bitcoin ended in June, and the asset has now entered an accumulation phase.
Thorn pointed out that Bitcoin has been above the 50-week moving average for five consecutive weeks, has received support from the 200-week moving average, and there has been a decrease in selling pressure. Additionally, the logic behind Bitcoin being used as a hedging tool against currency devaluation has further strengthened. He stated, "We believe that now is an attractive time to buy and hold Bitcoin."
However, Bitcoin's current weak performance and the trend in October are challenging the historical narrative of “Uptober”. According to CoinGlass data, Bitcoin has fallen by about 4% so far this month, while since 2010, the average increase in October has been 26.1%. October 2025 did not continue this pattern either; the currency first fell by 3.9% that month, followed by another 17.5% decline in November, despite the historical average increase in November being 35%.
Market Focus: The Fed's Decision on Wednesday
The Federal Reserve will announce its interest rate decision on Wednesday, followed by a press conference held by the Federal Reserve Chairman Kevin Warsh. This will become the most important macroeconomic catalyst of the week. At the same time, the potential $100 billion IPO that Anthropic may undertake could also prompt investors to reallocate their liquidity, putting pressure on Bitcoin, Solana, and other risky assets.
Traders will be watching the policy guidance from the Federal Reserve for clues about future borrowing costs and liquidity conditions. If the stance is more hawkish, it may extend the pressure on Bitcoin and other risky assets; if the stance is more accommodative, it could support a market rebound.
