Current performance may be higher or lower than the data shown. Returns as of the end of the most recent month can be queried at www.royceinvest.com. The market price of fund shares fluctuates, so the value at the time of sale may be higher or lower than their original cost.
The fund primarily invests in securities of small and medium-cap companies, which may carry significantly higher risks than investments in large corporations. The fund's broadly diversified portfolio does not guarantee profits, nor does it ensure that there will be no losses. From time to time, the fund may invest a considerable portion of its net assets in foreign securities, which could expose it to political, economic, exchange rate, and other risks that are not encountered in U.S. investments.
1 Geometric mean: This weighted calculation method uses the market value of each position in the portfolio, with the aim of avoiding distortions caused by extremely large or small positions; on the contrary, it is intended to better identify the central position of the portfolio. Royce believes that this can measure the average market value more accurately than a simple average or median.
2. Harmonized Average: This weighted calculation method treats the portfolio as a single stock for overall evaluation. It compares the total market value of the portfolio with the portfolio’s share of earnings from its underlying stocks.
The Price-Earnings Ratio (P/E) is calculated by dividing the company's stock price by its earnings per share over the past 12 months ( EPS ). The calculation of the P/E ratio for funds excludes companies with zero or negative earnings (as of September 30, 2026, these accounted for 7% of the portfolio holdings). The Price-to-Book Ratio (P/B) is calculated by dividing the company's stock price by its book value per share.
The price-to-book ratio (P/B) is calculated by dividing the company's stock price by its book value per share.
