New York, October 29, 2026 / PRNewswire / -- Crux Labs Today, we announce the end of our stealth operation and have completed a round of financing with over $6 million in oversubscribed funds. This round of financing was co-led by Benchstrength and Misneach, with Analog Ventures and Pareto Holdings also participating. Crux stated that they will use these funds to expand their research and engineering efforts, as well as to accelerate deployments with corporate clients.

Crux indicates that today, from startups to Fortune 500 companies, there is widespread deployment of AI proxies, but there is a lack of a reliable method to measure and improve their performance. Many teams only sample and review 1% of the proxy trajectories manually, thus missing a large number of failed cases at the tail of the distribution. Companies claim that although existing visibility platforms make it easier for humans to check proxy trajectories, they are unable to monitor and improve proxy performance across millions of user interactions. As a result, customers become frustrated, engineering teams are overwhelmed with support tickets, and ultimately, it leads to revenue loss.

According to Crux, its platform addresses this challenge by providing each enterprise with specialized proxy evaluation and improvement capabilities. Crux Proxies capture expert judgments within the native workflows of each company and use this information to calibrate customized evaluations. These evaluations can monitor 100% of the traffic in real-time and drive continuous proxy improvements, which can then be directly deployed into production environments.

Crux, co-founder and CEO, Julie Kheyfets, stated: "Aligning AI agents with human judgment is one of the greatest challenges of our time. Agents perform remarkably well in achieving goals, but they are unable to acquire the rules of experience that we humans have accumulated over the years. Crux helps each enterprise to refine this judgment and utilize it to rapidly improve their agents."

The company stated that it has made strong progress among high-growth startups in healthcare, cybersecurity, financial services, and other complex industries, as well as among Fortune 500 companies. The relevant teams rely on Crux to manage their proxy evaluations and improvement efforts, thereby freeing up the bandwidth of the engineering and product teams to launch new features.

Crux, co-founder and Chief Technology Officer, Krishna Kulkarni, stated: "The engineering team knows how to build AI proxies, and the domain experts know what success should look like, but businesses lack a bridge to connect the two. Crux transforms domain expertise into continuous proxy improvements, enabling engineers to build proxies that truly align with business goals."

Benchstrength General Partners John Monagle states: "Companies that can succeed in the AI field will have agents that reflect the judgment of their best employees. Crux enables this to be achieved in every interaction with agents, and Julie and Krishna are also particularly suited for building this business. We are proud to support such a team that is changing the way companies engage their agents in work."

Crux indicates that Kheyfets and Kulkarni met at Princeton University. Kheyfets has ten years of experience in deploying AI in complex industries, has been responsible for Tractable AI's North American business, and has also served as the CEO of Block Renovation. Kulkarni was previously in charge of brand engineering at Meta, developed AI products at Checkr, and helped to grow the service scale of Healthify from zero to 20 million patients. The company states that they are rapidly expanding their team of researchers and engineers, who possess deep expertise in proxy evaluation and improvement.

About Crux Labs

Crux Labs indicates that the company is the first end-to-end platform to help enterprises align AI proxies with human judgment. This platform can capture domain expertise, create and calibrate customized assessments, monitor 100% of production traffic, and directly convert assessment results into continuous proxy improvements in the production environment. Crux states that this enables enterprises to have the capability of a dedicated assessment science team, which accelerates proxy performance and business impact while releasing product and engineering bandwidth.
