Hanwha Investment & Securities reaches strategic cooperation with Chainlink to advance the tokenization, interconnection, and collateralization of real-world assets globally

Hanwha Investment Securities adopts Chainlink data standards and CCIP as the official oracle infrastructure for its global RWA tokenization platform.

Both parties established a joint working group to explore scenarios for the secure execution of tasks on the blockchain, the usage standards for RWA as collateral, as well as the Korean tokenized securities market.

– Chainlink will promote the development of this platform through specialized technical support and its network of global financial institutions

New York, October 29, 2026 / PRNewswire / — Hanwha Investment Securities ( Hanwha Investment & Securities ) is a financial subsidiary of the Fortune Global 500 company, Hanwha Group. The company announced today that, as it builds a tokenization platform for global real-world assets ( RWA ), it has established a strategic partnership with blockchain finance standard provider Chainlink .

Hanwha Investment & Securities will adopt the Chainlink data standards and the cross-chain interoperability protocol CCIP as the official data and interoperability infrastructure for its platform. On this basis, both parties will jointly establish standards and use cases for the tokenization of high-quality real-world assets, their global distribution, and their use as collateral.

In the global tokenization platform that Hanwha Investment & Securities is building, Chainlink will provide credible pricing and net asset value (NAV) data for the assets issued there, while CCIP will enable the safe transfer of these assets and liquidity between public and private blockchains. Assets can be issued on the blockchain that best suits their characteristics, and through a single integration, they can reach more investors and liquidity in global markets, without the need to develop customized integrations for each new network separately.

This collaboration covers the entire process from the tokenization of real-world assets to their distribution and deployment (including use as collateral). Hanwha Investment & Securities will provide high-quality assets, structured capabilities, and institutional-level market infrastructure from global asset management firms; Chainlink will provide the data and interoperability standards necessary to connect these assets across networks.

Hanwha Investment & Securities stated that the company is in discussions with global asset management institutions and issuers regarding the tokenization and distribution of various RWA products, and plans to bring these assets to institutional investors and the on-chain market through Chainlink.

To this end, both parties will establish a joint working group to jointly explore the following matters: application scenarios for institutions to securely access on-chain finance under the premise of meeting compliance and custody requirements; valuation methods, reserve verification methods, application scenarios, and standards required for using RWA as collateral; as well as technologies and compliance frameworks that match the institutionalization process of tokenized securities in South Korea. Chainlink and Hanwha Investment Securities stated that they will consolidate relevant experiences into standards that institutions can adopt and plan to leverage the global financial institutions and protocol network of Chainlink to expand the range of participating institutions. Chainlink will also provide specialized technical support for the Hanwha Investment Securities platform and will give priority to releasing new solutions.

Tokenization is increasingly becoming a fundamental component of global finance, and South Korea, one of the major digital asset hubs in Asia, is expected to launch its tokenized securities framework in February 2027. As part of Hanwha Group, a Fortune Global 500 company, Hanwha Investment & Securities stated that it is preparing for the South Korean tokenized securities market and the global digital asset market, and is building this platform to lead this transformation in South Korea, Asia, and the global markets.

Insung An, the Chief Digital Officer of Hanwha Investment & Securities, stated: "Our goal is to tokenize high-quality assets that customers have always wished to hold but were difficult to obtain in the past, and to create a new financial market that allows these assets to be issued, distributed, and used as collateral in global markets."

He stated, " Chainlink is our key global strategic partner in realizing this vision. By using the standards of Chainlink as the core of the platform, we are able to build this platform on a stable and credible technical foundation."

He also added, "The cooperation between the two parties will not be limited to the adoption of technology. The companies will also jointly establish valuation and usage standards required for tokenized assets to be put into practical use (including as collateral), and build a real-world asset market that connects South Korea with global markets."

Chainlink Labs Chief Commercial Officer Johann Eid stated: "Asset tokenization is just the first step; it is only by connecting these assets between public and private chains that their accessibility to global users, markets, and liquidity can be truly realized."

He stated, "As one of our key global strategic partners, Hanwha Investment Securities has brought high-quality real-world assets and institutional-level market expertise. By adopting Chainlink data standards and CCIP as its official oracle infrastructure, Hanwha Investment Securities is placing institutional-level security at the core of its global tokenization strategy."

He also added, "We will jointly establish market standards for the actual use of tokenized assets, including scenarios where they are used as collateral. Chainlink is supporting this process through dedicated resources and global network connectivity. This is the model for bringing global finance onto the blockchain: one connection, global expansion."

Binance stated that after a potential security vulnerability was discovered on the exchange, approximately $3 billion in crypto assets were frozen, but recovering the funds could be more complicated. Companies such as Circle and Tether have frozen the relevant funds, and Binance said it will bear all losses and suspend deposits and withdrawals. Experts indicate that freezing is just the first step; actually returning the assets often requires coordination among law enforcement, exchanges, and token issuers, which may take several months or even years.
