A federal judge in Alaska continued to swiftly advance multiple motions to dismiss on Friday in a lawsuit filed by the U.S. Department of Justice. The lawsuit sought to delay the certification of the results of the state's Senate election, on the grounds that if the incumbent Republican Senator Dan Sullivan were to lose, another candidate with the same name on the ballot could cause confusion among voters and affect the outcome.

A federal judge in Alaska continued to rapidly advance multiple motions on Friday, which sought to dismiss a lawsuit filed by the U.S. Department of Justice. The lawsuit aimed to delay the certification of the results of the state's Senate election.

Judge Sharon Gleason ordered the Department of Justice to respond to the new motions to dismiss by 1 p.m. on Friday, Alaska time. These motions were filed hours after the Department of Justice amended the indictment at the U.S. District Court for the Anchorage Federal District on Thursday.

Grisson demanded that state election officials, the campaign team of Democratic nominee Mary Peltoora, and other groups respond to the Department of Justice's response by noon on Saturday.

The Department of Justice's lawsuit seeks to postpone the certification of Senate elections in the following circumstances: if the current Republican Senator Dan Sullivan loses by a margin that may be attributed to voter confusion, and this confusion arises from the appearance of another candidate named Dan Sullivan on the ballot.

The judge's order retains the possibility for her to rule on these motions to dismiss before Tuesday, which is also the election day. The state government and Pertola's campaign team have requested that Griesen dismiss the case before then.

Oil tankers withstand escalating Iranian attacks, and crude oil continues to flow through the Strait of Hormuz
Since the United States and Israel went to war with Iran, Iran has increased attacks on merchant ships in the Strait of Hormuz. However, with the escort provided by the U.S. military and adjustments in the operations of the shipping industry, the flow of crude oil through the Strait of Hormuz has remained resilient. Although Brent crude oil prices have risen by more than 13% this month, and actual exports have only decreased slightly compared to September, freight rates and transportation costs have soared significantly.

Ed Yardeni, a senior figure on Wall Street, stated that the investment boom in AI is facing triple constraints of capital, physical resources, and politics. However, if these constraints can make capital allocation more efficient, they may actually prolong the AI bull market. Oxford Economics also believes that a slowdown in data center construction will help to alleviate inflation and long-term interest rate pressures.
