New York, November 4, 2026 / PRNewswire / -- The identity security platform Hydden, targeting agentic and enterprise, today announced the appointment of Charles Tango as Chief Strategy Officer (CSO). Tango has previously served three times as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and possesses 25 years of experience. He has led cybersecurity and risk management projects at some of the largest companies globally, while also providing consulting services to emerging technology firms and leading venture capital institutions.

As the Chief Strategy Officer, Tango will be responsible for guiding the strategic product direction and roadmap of Hydden, ensuring that technology always aligns with the needs of the enterprise security team. He will also promote strategic technical collaboration and integration with established industry leaders as well as emerging startups, and support Hydden's commitment to customer success.

Recently, Tango has taken on the role of Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for Sysco. Sysco ranks 55th among the top 500 in Fortune and is also one of the largest food service distributors globally. Previously, Tango served as CISO at Altria and Sterling National Bank, the latter of which has now been merged into Santander; he also held senior leadership positions at Citigroup. Throughout his career, Tango has focused on aligning cybersecurity strategies with business priorities, helping executive teams and boards of directors understand risks, make informed decisions, and establish security initiatives that support business goals.

Hydden, Co-Founder and CEO, stated: " Charles brings a perspective that is hard to find in the cybersecurity industry. He has spent decades leading security projects within complex global enterprises and also provides advice to the next generation of cybersecurity companies. He understands what CISO requires, how businesses make technical decisions, and how to transform innovative technologies into commercial value. As we build identity system records for agentic and enterprise, having someone with such experience to drive our long-term strategy is a huge advantage."

Hydden is an identity security platform built upon Identity System, of, and Record. It provides a shared data layer that unifies identity telemetry data across enterprises, enabling each security team and system to have a consistent understanding of every human, machine, and AI proxy identities that are continuously updated. This intelligence can identify identity risks when they arise, providing the context necessary for SOC to understand and contain threats, and access control can be implemented directly within Hydden or through security tools already in possession of the teams.

Tango After 25 years of collaboration with the board of directors, CEO, and security leaders, I have learned that the biggest challenges in cybersecurity are not always technical issues. Instead, they lie in understanding where the risks lie, who is responsible for them, and how to make informed decisions. Identity is at the core of many such challenges, yet most companies still struggle to have a comprehensive understanding of their identity environments. Hydden offers an opportunity to change this. I am delighted to help shape the company's strategy, strengthen its technological ecosystem, and assist organizations in conducting identity security in a more informed manner.

In addition to his experience as a corporate leader, Tango is also an active investor and advisor for early-stage cybersecurity and AI companies. He has collaborated with several leading venture capital firms, including Bessemer Venture Partners, Bloccelerate, Lytical Ventures, SYN Ventures, and Strategic Cyber Ventures, helping founders identify operational gaps, refine business strategies, and address challenges during the company's expansion process.
