2026-09-10 19:58:09
According to CoinMeta, as reported by Ledger Insights, the development team behind zksync, Matter Labs, has announced the official open-sourcing of the core code for their privacy blockchain platform Prividium tailored for financial institutions. This open-source engine is primarily responsible for managing roles and access control permissions on the licensed chain. This means that financial institutions can now deploy and operate licensed privacy chains using the open-source code without having to sign commercial agreements. Components such as management consoles, user permission configuration tools, and enterprise-level connectors including integrations with core banking systems will continue to be provided as paid commercial services. Matter Labs revealed that the German Central Bank has become the first institution to complete a self-hosted deployment of Prividium within its internal infrastructure, and the two parties are currently collaborating on system architecture design and scenario testing.
