According to CoinMeta, co-founder Fred Ehrsam of Coinbase signed a production sharing contract with Venezuela's state oil company PDVSA through Primavera Corporation, participating in the revitalization of Venezuela's oil industry. U.S. President Donald Trump once called on ExxonMobil, ConocoPhillips, and Continental Resources to invest $100 billion to restore Venezuela's oil fields.
